Open to current first-years, sophomores and juinors, this fellowship supports the study of a current spoken language in any country outside the United States, preferably in conjunction with an interest in sociology, diplomatic service or international law. Students must be enrolled in an academic program while abroad. Previous study in the language is not required. The fellowship amount is typically $8,000 depending on the project and resources.
